THERMACLASS Cavity Wall 21 is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board for full fill masonry cavity wall applications.
Description
THERMACLASS Cavity Wall 21 is a polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board with a declared thermal conductivity of 0.021 W/mK, intended for use in masonry cavity wall constructions. BBA certified, it features tongue and groove edges to assist with close jointing and foil facings as part of the product construction.
It is typically installed as a full-fill solution with a nominal 10mm residual cavity to aid installation and accommodate mortar squeeze. It may also be used with no residual cavity, or as part of a partial-fill construction within wider cavities. Available in thicknesses from 90 mm to 140 mm, the product is BBA certified for full-fill and partial fill masonry cavity wall applications, as detailed in Certificates 24/7312.
Reaction to Fire
THERMACLASS Cavity Wall 21 achieves a reaction to fire classification of Euroclass F in accordance with BS EN 13501-1.
In accordance with current Building Regulations requirements relating to combustibility, the product should not be used in the external walls of relevant buildings over 11 metres in height.
The product should be specified and installed in accordance with applicable Building Regulations, statutory guidance and relevant standards.
